Today, I had my first photography session that truly came full-circle.
Katie, Adam and I all went to Gonzaga University together, and while I didn’t have the chance to get to know them during our time in school, Katie was given my name by a mutual friend when she and Adam were looking for a photographer for their 2010 wedding. The rest, as they say, is history.
In August 2010, I laughed and giggled with Katie & Adam as we shot their engagement photos on a gorgeous Seattle day at Alki Beach. In April 2011, I stood by, camera in hand and a smile on my face, as Katie & Adam promised to love and cherish each other for the rest of their lives. Today, in November 2013, I was invited into Katie & Adam’s home to celebrate and capture the gorgeous little family they have created together.
It was the neatest feeling to think back on our previous sessions as I photographed baby Madison today, not only to realize and appreciate how much Katie & Adam have changed and grown together as a couple, but also to reflect on how much I’ve changed and grown (both personally and professionally) since I clicked the shutter on their very first engagement frame.
3 years. 3 incredible adventures. 3 lovely photo shoots.
1 lucky photographer.
