‘S’ is for Spring…and Sapphire

Okay, so I know that ‘radiant orchid‘ is allll the rage this year (and don’t get me wrong, I love it) but gosh, it just feels downright wrong to forget about all the other gorgeous colors available for spring and summer. Jewel tones, I’ve got your back!

I’ll be honest, I’ve never been much of a “blue” girl in the past, but I’ve definitely noticed a trend in my purchasing habits over the past few weeks, and that trend is the addition of this g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s cobalt/sapphire hue. I don’t know why I’m just now getting turned on to this rich color palette, but Kate Middleton (in all her fashion goddess wisdom) obviously knew what was up when she accepted her stunning rock from Prince William. I mean, not that she would have ever said no to the guy, because  it’s Prince freaking William. Who, I might add, despite his rapidly receding hairline, genuinely seems like an all-around super awesome guy. Kate = 1, the rest of the female population = 0.

Moral of the story — if sapphire is good enough for the duchess, it’s good enough for me!
